JANUARY

North American Snowshoe Classic: Long and short distance racers from the U.S. and Canada compete in this annual event.

Saranac Lake Winter Orienteering Weekend: Competitors race between "controls" on ski or snowshoes, by day and night, relying on a map, a compass and their wits!

FEBRUARY

Tupper Lake Ice Fishing Derby: Sponsored by The Tupper Lake Rod and Gun Club. Derby boundaries usually encompass all of the waters of Tupper Lake, Raquette Pond, and Simond Pond.
